Dr. Clifton Lewis

BHS Shelby Doctors 01152013

Dr. Clifton Lewis is a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon specializing in the latest surgical techniques, with additional interest in minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Lewis’ extensive training at the Texas Heart Institute and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center provides patients with the most comprehensive care available.

Dr. Lewis will render second opinions and frequently assess patients who are considered high risk operative candidates at other centers.

The greatest reward I receive from being a heart surgeon is seeing a patient who’s quality of life had hit rock bottom due to an ailment, and using the most advanced surgical techniques available to give them back the ability to lead a normal, healthy life.

Dr. Lewis knew from a young age that his path in life would lead him to be a heart surgeon. Growing up with a father who practiced medicine, he realized the rewards of healing.

Being an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing, Dr. Lewis understands the benefits of having a healthy heart. Even after being a surgeon for more than two decades, he still carries the same enthusiasm he did as a child.

The advancements in surgical techniques since I started, combined with the success rate we enjoy at Princeton Baptist Medical Center and the success stories we hear from our patients, are some of the most priceless gifts I have.
